dad's kidney's started to deteriorate today. prior to his stay in the hospital, his kidney functions were perfectly fine, in spite of his diabetic condition. Now its become so bad that he cannot urinate and constantly tries to pull out the cathether. He gets frustrated and flings his blanket and oxygen mask off and is in a constant state of discomfort and pain.
mum can barely take the sight of him suffering.
surprisingly, he actually allowed my uncle's friends to go down to the hospital to pray for him today. if you know my dad, he's a very opiniated man when it comes to religion, and he's a very staunch buddhist. perhaps its a good sign that he's being open minded about this. It could mean that he's willing to try anything to get better.
sigh.
