does anyone want to hire thomas in singapore?
he speaks french, has excellent public relations skills, throws some very good parties and have a good attitude. Most importantly, he loves his girlfriend a lot and will move to singapore if someone wants to hire him.
I heard this song for the first time today while i was watching tv. the lyrics were so beautiful and i started to sob. even though thomas was 5 steps away from me, i suddenly missed him. and the song just stirred up a whole set of emotions.
minutes later, he woke up and in a blur, told me everything is okay because he'll marry me some day.
My fascination with the States is definately because of their incredible TV shows. Every single night, I am highly entertained. Plus, thomas and I have this Tv DVD system where it automatically records your favorite shows when we're not watching and when we eventually do, we can fast forward to the show and skip all commercials.
I've always loved the Fall season better than summer and spring because the Tv shows are the best!!!

and we would all be so much smarter if we all possessed the gift of hindsight.
we wouldn't have left our belongings unattended on the beaches of sentosa if we'd known they would be stolen (ok well, we should've known); we wouldn't have drunk so much and hit our heads and ended up in a hospital if we'd known; we wouldn't have accepted that dance if we'd known; we wouldn't have looked into those eyes and fallen so deeply if we'd known that our hearts would get so miserably broken.
but we also wouldn't have had these memories.
so i guess, what keeps us going now, is not knowing what we would've known if we'd known. and hoping that whatever lies beyond in the unknown, turns out the way we want it to.
the hardest part about moving home is packing 4 years worth of memories and materials in brown boxes that are ready to be shipped back to a familiar place. I feel numb. because i'm leaving the one person i've loved so much. knowing that i have to walk away and leave him by himself is hard. because i know if the same thing was done to me, i would crumble in no less than 5 seconds. knowing that i'm making him choose and decide according to what i want is another thing. its never easy falling in love overseas. sometimes, i just wished that i won my bet when i left 4 years ago.
I've just had one of those weekends. You know, the kind of weekend that leaves you completely exhausted at the end of it because you've just done so many things you feel like you might just as well have had another whole week crammed in those two days.
Friday was the start of the polo boys' competition. SEA Games final selection disguised as a friendly competition amongst the boys, that is. The WAGs are all out in full force and to a certain extent, I must admit that I quite enjoy being a WAG. haha While the boys are in the pool, the girls sit around and bitch about who got drunk when, who put on weight, who lost weight, who is seeing who, who is getting married to whom. Quite good fun really, and I suppose, we all share some sort of special bond coz we've been through the tough training days where we don't get to see our other halves because of training and all that jazz.
This time round, the older boys are back, most of them married or going to get married, some of them already with pregnant wives. Its hard to explain but its nice having them around because they provide some glimpse into what the future's going ot be like. And well, it seems that things don't really change much no matter how old they grow or how many kids they have. haha
Jingy and I decided to get off our asses and do something, so we're now the happy volunteers (i'm assuming you're a happy volunteer jingy!) at the Riding for Disabled Association, where free horse rides are provided to the disabled as part of their therapy. Cindy, the in-charge, told us that horse riding has actually proven to be quite therapeutic for them. In the case of kids with cerebral palsy for example, she's actually seen improvements in muscle strength and coordination because of the movement of the horse which helps the kids exercise their muscles. A poor little girl fell off her horse though, with no injuries thankfully and she was such a brave soul because despite having such a huge scare, once we got back to the association, we put her back on the horse again so she wouldn't develop a fear of it. So people, if you have 2 hours to spare each week, do join us because they are super short of volunteers!
And after all that, there was also last night at Taboo, which frankly, is always quite intimidating for me. I really have never ever seen so many guys squashed into one tiny place before. Most of them are good-looking to boot! Apparently there was some function going on and Mamasan was dressed in this super hot nurses outfit. He was so hot i couldn't recognise him when he came to get us at the entrance. There was even some guest appearance by the Number ONE Porn Star in America. How Mama got him to come I will never know! Pictures will come later when I get them, None of the Porn Star unfortunately!
